RBC Signals accepted into Creative Destruction Lab Space program

RBC Signals, the leading provider of flexible and cost-effective space communication services, announced that it has been selected by Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) to participate in the non-profit’s program for promising early-stage science and technology companies. Creative Destruction Lab selects companies from around the world, via a stringent vetting process, for participation in its objectives-based program. RBC Signals will complete the program as part of the CDL Space Stream at CDL-Toronto.

“It is an honor to be chosen for this competitive program,” says Christopher Richins, founder and CEO of RBC Signals. “CDL’s mentor and investor networks are impressive and we are fortunate to be able to collaborate with them.”

The Space Stream, based at CDL-Toronto, is designed specifically to serve company founders pursuing commercial opportunities enabled by the recent drop in the cost of accessing space. The program brings together astronauts, entrepreneurs, investors and scientists from the fields of space exploration and transportation, satellite communications, Earth observation, automation and robotics. RBC Signals will work with CDL mentors to sharpen objectives, raise capital, build networks and engage with experts on the frontiers of research.

The CDL program includes intensive full-day sessions every eight weeks with the purpose of assessing progress and setting short term objectives. Meetings are attended by fellows and associates, a carefully selected group of exited entrepreneurs, angel investors and partners from leading venture capital firms who often invest in ventures that demonstrate a track record of achieving their objectives. Additionally, world-renowned experts from leading academic institutions provide technical feedback to founders and advise the fellows and associates on objectives related to technology validation.

In addition to Space, CDL’s program tracks include: Ag, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Climate, Commerce, Energy, Heath, Matter, Oceans, Prime, Quantum, Recovery, Risk and Supply Chain.
