The Benefits of Leadership & Growth
When GoGeomatics began over 15 years ago much of the content and activities were of particular interest to students. The first thing we had was a job board and then we started geospatial coaching alongside of doing career seminars. We have really come a long way since then.
Now GoGeomatics hosts Canada’s national geospatial conference, GeoIgnite, which had over 600 participants this year. We continue to host virtual meetups across the country despite the pandemic.
As GoGeomatics Canada has grown and developed so has our community. The folks looking for work on the website 15 years ago are now more than well into their careers and moved into management positions, not just in Canada, but around the world.
Our audience may have come for the jobs, but they stayed for the articles, conferences, and news on all things related to GIS, remote sensing, Lidar, drones, surveying, and other related topics.
You can be sure of one thing. No one is on our websites, social media or events unless they are very interested in location technology.
With over 1,500 articles on the GoGeomatics Magazine and hundreds of events under our belt GoGeomatics is recognized as a main hub for the Canadian geospatial sector.
