Japanese AEC giant Takenaka has entered into a partnership with KUBUS to translate the entire BIMcollab ecosystem of BIM industry software to the Japanese language. This includes the popular BIMcollab Cloud and BIMcollab ZOOM, used by over 90,000 BIM professionals worldwide.
With BIM rapidly gaining prominence in the Japanese AECO market, the number of BIM professionals in Japan is also on the rise. Now, these BIM professionals will have a top of the line issue management system with integrated model validation and requirement-sharing without having to contend with a language barrier issue.
“Our partnership with Takenaka marked the beginning of our dedicated focus on supporting BIM professionals in Japan with our solutions,” says Erik Pijnenburg, CEO BIMcollab. “After helping industry leaders in Europe and other parts of the world, we are honored to assist Takenaka and other Japanese firms on their BIM journey.”
“Together with Takenaka, we aimed to create a perfect issue management solution for the Japanese design and build industry,” says Paul Deckers, BIMcollab Product Owner. “Most notably the addition of several new APIs have allowed Takenaka to integrate BIMcollab seamlessly within their own BIM environment.”
The entire user-interface in BIMcollab is converted to the Japanese language so that Takenaka employees and partners can work seamlessly in the system using their native language.
